Joshua Westbrook

Joshua Westbrook has been surrounded by the arts from a young age. Having taken his first black and white photography class in middle school, he continued pursuing his interests through high school and eventually at university. He is experienced in digital photographic editing programs, fine art inkjet printing and alternative and historical photographic techniques. At the University of Colorado Denver, Westbrook will earn his bachelor of fine arts with an emphasis in photography.

Westbrook’s photographs have recently been featured in an exhibition that travels between five colleges entitled 16x16x16, curated by Mariana Vieira. Joshua Westbrook also spends his time volunteering at the Aurora Photography Lab as a lab assistant. In his latest work, Westbrook photographs the everyday features that make up the essence of contemporary suburban life. This latest photographic series will be on display at the 2015 CU Denver BFA Thesis Exhibition at RedLine in Denver, CO.
